Background
Heat shock transcription factor 2 (HSF2) is a member of the HSF family that binds specifically to heat-shock promoter elements and activates transcription. These factors regulate heat-shock response genes under heat or stress conditions. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
