Target Information
Gephyrin은 신경세포 내에서 억제성 신경전달 수용체를 시냅스 후 골격에 고정시키는 단백질로, 수용체 서브유닛 도메인 및 튜불린 이합체와의 고친화 결합을 통해 작용합니다. 비신경 조직에서는 몰리브덴 보조인자 생합성에도 필요하며, 이 유전자 변이는 과긴장증(hyperplexia) 및 몰리브덴 보조인자 결핍과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다. 다양한 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변이가 보고되었으나, 모든 전사체의 완전 길이는 아직 명확히 밝혀지지 않았습니다.
