Target Information
GGPS1 유전자는 prenyltransferase 패밀리에 속하며, geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP) synthase 활성을 갖는 단백질을 암호화합니다.
이 효소는 farnesyl diphosphate와 isopentenyl diphosphate로부터 GGPP를 합성하며, GGPP는 단백질의 C20-prenylation과 핵 호르몬 수용체 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
여러 전사적 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
