This antibody is predicted to react with mouse based on sequence homology.
It detects endogenous levels of Mst1 only when phosphorylated at threonine 183.
Target Information
STK4 (MST1) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in apoptosis and is a key component of the Hippo signaling pathway, which regulates organ size and tumor suppression by controlling cell proliferation and apoptosis.
Upon activation, STK4/MST1, in complex with SAV1, phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2, which subsequently inactivates YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ, preventing their nuclear translocation and reducing expression of proliferation-related genes.
STK4/MST1 is essential for repressing hepatocyte proliferation, maintaining liver homeostasis, and preventing tumor formation.
