Target Information
SMPD3는 sphingomyelin을 가수분해하여 ceramide와 phosphocholine을 생성하는 효소입니다. Ceramide는 apoptosis 및 성장 억제와 같은 다양한 세포 기능을 매개하며, 이 두 세포 사건을 독립적으로 조절할 수 있습니다. 또한 sphingosylphosphocholine을 가수분해하며, 세포 주기를 조절하고 confluent 상태의 세포에서 성장 억제 인자로 작용합니다. 출생 후 발달 조절 및 뼈와 상아질의 무기질화에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
