이 수용체는 T-cell factor 신호 전달을 활성화할 수 있으며, PGE2에 의해 유도된 early growth response 1의 발현을 매개하고 cyclooxygenase-2 mRNA의 수준과 안정성을 조절하며 glycogen synthase kinase-3의 인산화를 유도합니다.
마우스의 knockout 연구에서는 이 수용체가 신생아 순환계 적응, 골다공증, 피부 면역 반응 개시에 관여할 수 있음을 시사합니다.
