RP-43151 contains native human Thrombospondin-1 protein.
This product may be used as a positive control in various immunological assays.
It is derived from human blood/plasma origin. The starting material was tested and found negative or nonreactive for anti-HIV-1/2, HIV-1 antigen(s), HBsAg, STS, anti-HCV, anti-HBcore, and anti-HTLV I & II.
However, extreme caution should be exercised when handling this material as there is always a margin of error in all tests.

Target Information
Thrombospondin is a protein found in platelet α-granules, composed of three identical subunits linked by interchain disulfide bonds.
It is secreted at sites of platelet activation and aggregation and plays roles in chemotaxis, adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation of leukocytes, fibroblasts, smooth muscle, and endothelial cells.
