Product Specific Information
- In IHC applications, Zamboni’s or 4% PFA fixatives are recommended.
- Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water.

Target Information
Olfactory marker protein (OMP) is an abundant, 19-kDa cytosolic protein expressed almost exclusively in mature, functioning olfactory neurons, but not in neural precursor basal cells.
OMP gene and protein sequences are highly conserved among mouse, rat, and human. Its tissue-specific expression and knockout studies indicate that OMP acts as a modulatory component of the odor detection and signal transduction cascade.
OMP may modulate olfactory signal transduction and interacts with BEX1 and BEX2. It is uniquely associated with mature olfactory receptor neurons and belongs to the olfactory marker protein family.
