RPS6KA5 (MSK1)는 다양한 세포 과정의 조절에 필수적인 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제입니다.
RPS6KA5는 전사 인자 CREB1, ATF1, RELA, STAT3 및 ETV1/ER81의 인산화를 조절하며, 히스톤 인산화를 통한 유전자 활성화와 염증 관련 유전자 조절에 관여합니다.
UV-C 조사, EGF, anisomycin 등의 자극에 반응하여 CREB1과 ATF1을 인산화하며, TNF 반응 시 RELA 전사 활성 조절에 필수적입니다.
또한 NR3C1(글루코코르티코이드 수용체)과 세포질에서 결합하여 RELA 억제 및 염증 유전자 발현 억제에 기여합니다.
골격근 전구세포에서는 산화 스트레스 중 RELA의 Ser-276 인산화에 필요하며, 적혈구생성인자 자극 세포에서는 STAT3의 Ser-727 인산화 및 전사 조절 기능에 관여합니다.
