Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
FABP1 encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in liver. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands.
FABP1 and FABP6 (the ileal fatty acid binding protein) are also able to bind bile acids.
It is thought that FABPs play roles in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.
