CYB5R3 (NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase 3, diaphorase 1)는 인간 CYB5R3 유전자에 의해 암호화된 301 아미노산 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 flavoprotein pyridine nucleotide cytochrome reductase 계열에 속하며, 두 가지 자연 발생 isoform을 가집니다.
Isoform 1은 소포체 막 및 미토콘드리아 외막의 세포질 측에 고정되어 있고, Isoform 2는 적혈구 내에서 발견되는 용해성 형태입니다.
CYB5R3는 지방산의 불포화 및 연장, 콜레스테롤 생합성, 약물 대사 및 적혈구 내 methemoglobin 환원에 관여합니다.
