Target Information
TRMT2A encodes a protein of unknown function but is orthologous to mouse Trmt2a and contains an RNA methyltransferase domain. Its expression varies during the cell cycle, and aberrant expression may serve as a biomarker in certain breast cancers. Multiple transcript variants encoding two isoforms have been identified.
