GARS (Glycyl-tRNA synthetase)는 tRNA에 해당 아미노산을 결합시키는 아미노아실-tRNA 합성효소 중 하나입니다. 이 단백질은 (α)₂ 이합체 형태로 존재하며, class II tRNA synthetase 계열에 속합니다. GARS는 다발성 근염(polymyositis) 및 피부근염(dermatomyositis)과 같은 자가면역 질환에서 자가항체의 표적 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
