Target Information
Aggrecan은 cartilage-specific proteoglycan core protein (CSPCP) 또는 chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 1로도 알려져 있으며, ACAN 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다. 이 단백질은 연골 조직의 세포외기질의 주요 구성 요소로, 압축을 견디는 역할을 합니다. 인간 Aggrecan은 2316개의 아미노산(약 250 kDa)로 구성되어 있으며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 여러 isoform으로 발현될 수 있습니다.
Aggrecan은 chondroitin sulfate 및 keratan sulfate 사슬이 단백질 코어에 부착된 병솔형 구조를 가지고 있습니다. Aggrecan의 합성과 분해는 관절 손상, 질병, 노화에 따른 연골 손상 연구의 주요 대상입니다.
