Human Parechovirus (HPeV)는 Picornaviridae 계열의 단일가닥 RNA 바이러스로, 영유아에게 흔한 감염을 일으키며 분변-경구 경로로 전파됩니다. HPeV Type 1과 Type 3은 가장 흔한 인체 감염형으로 알려져 있습니다. VP0 단백질은 바이러스 구조 단백질로, 바이러스 조립에 중요한 역할을 하며 성숙 과정에서 VP2와 VP4로 절단됩니다. VP0 단백질의 N 및 C 말단은 항원 결정 부위를 포함하고 있어 진단용 분석 및 백신 개발에 활용될 수 있습니다.
