Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins. These proteins are involved in oncogenesis and various developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
This gene encodes a protein showing 94% amino acid identity to mouse Wnt5b and 80% to human WNT5A.
Alternative splicing generates two transcript variants.
