Target Information
GOLPH3 is a peripheral membrane protein localized to the trans-Golgi network and has roles in mitochondrial regulation through cardiolipin control. It is involved in TOR signaling and promotes anchorage-independent growth and cell proliferation in vitro. Overexpression enhances S6 Kinase and AKT phosphorylation, while knockdown reduces these effects, indicating GOLPH3 acts as an oncogene and potential therapeutic target.
