Target Information
GAD65 (glutamic acid decarboxylase-65)는 자가면역 질환, 특히 인슐린 의존성 당뇨병(IDDM), stiff man syndrome, 다분비선 자가면역 질환 등에서 발견됩니다. GAD65에 대한 자가항체는 새롭게 진단된 IDDM 환자의 약 60~70%에서 발견되며, 질병 활성도의 중요한 지표로 사용됩니다. 이러한 항체는 주로 GAD65의 입체 구조에 의존적인 영역을 인식하며, GAD67에는 거의 결합하지 않습니다. GAD67에 대한 자가항체는 IDDM 환자의 약 15%에서만 발견되며, 대부분 GAD65로 차단될 수 있어 두 동형 간의 공통 에피토프를 시사합니다.
