Target Information
IGFBP2 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2) is a member of the IGFBP family which binds various IGFs. IGFBP2 is overexpressed in a wide range of cancers, including glioma, prostate cancer, synovial sarcoma, neuroblastoma, colon cancer, adrenocortical cancer, lung cancer, Wilms’ tumor, and hepatoblastoma. Overexpression of IGFBP2 correlates with tumor aggressiveness and activates matrix metalloprotease 2 expression, contributing to cell invasiveness.
