This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

PSAP is a highly conserved glycoprotein that serves as a precursor for four cleavage products: saposins A, B, C, and D. Each domain of the precursor protein is approximately 80 amino acids long, with nearly identical placement of cysteine residues and glycosylation sites.
Saposins A–D localize primarily to the lysosomal compartment, facilitating the catabolism of glycosphingolipids with short oligosaccharide groups. The precursor protein exists both as a secretory and an integral membrane protein and exhibits neurotrophic activities.
