This antibody detects endogenous levels of total RPL34 protein.
Target Information
Ribosomes are organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consisting of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits are composed of four RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins.
The RPL34 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L34E family. It is located in the cytoplasm and mapped to chromosome 4q.
Transcript variants from alternative splicing and transcription initiation encode the same protein. Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
