Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3) is a 281 amino acid, Type-1 Th1-specific cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tc1 cells.
It consists of an IgV-like domain, a mucin-like domain in the extracellular region, and a conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in the cytoplasmic region.
TIM3 is involved in macrophage activation, autoimmune disease induction, and immune tolerance regulation.
Its pathological significance has been noted in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th1-dependent autoimmune disease.
