Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
APOBR is a macrophage receptor that binds to apolipoprotein B48 (APOB) of dietary triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRL) or similar domains in APOB of hypertriglyceridemic VLDL (HTG-VLDL).
It binds and internalizes TRL outside the macrophage context, potentially providing essential lipids to reticuloendothelial cells.
It may also contribute to foam cell formation under elevated TRL and remnant lipoprotein (RLP) conditions.
Mediates rapid, high-affinity uptake of chylomicrons (CM), HTG-VLDL, and trypsinized VLDL (devoid of APOE) in vitro in macrophages.
