This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, chicken, non-human primate, and rat based on sequence homology.
Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is dominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as one of the earliest markers of neuronal differentiation. It is widely used as a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. Although most abundant in neuronal cells, betaIII-tubulin has also been detected in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
