Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD52, also known as CAMPATH-1 antigen, is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of various immune cells including T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and monocytes.
It plays a role in immune response regulation and is studied as a therapeutic target in diseases such as multiple sclerosis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and autoimmune disorders.
CD52 is the target of alemtuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used to treat these conditions by depleting CD52-expressing immune cells.
