Target Information
Annexin I belongs to a family of Ca²⁺-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane.
It has a molecular mass of 40 kDa and exhibits phospholipase A2 inhibitory activity.
Since phospholipase A2 is required for the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, Annexin I may possess potential anti-inflammatory activity.
