Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, where it catalyzes a variety of reactions.
The GST gene fusion system enables purification of GST-fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are useful for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions, and the GST system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
