This 201A monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD303a (CLEC4C or BDCA-2), a type II transmembrane protein expressed almost exclusively on plasmacytoid dendritic cells. These cells secrete type I interferon during antiviral and antitumor responses.
CD303a binds asialo-galactosyl-oligosaccharides on pathogens, activating signaling pathways that lead to internalization and downregulation of interferon production.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested using normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the antibody amount required to stain a sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell number may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

This gene encodes a C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain family member involved in cell adhesion, signaling, glycoprotein turnover, inflammation, and immune response.
