Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
EAF1 and EAF2 form a complex with ELL that targets the ternary elongation complex of RNA polymerase II, stimulating the rate of elongation. They contribute to the stability of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex, which activates transcription through acetylation of histones H4 and H2A. Both EAF1 and EAF2 are ubiquitously expressed and colocalize with ELL in Cajal bodies and nuclear speckles. EAF1 contains a C-terminal region rich in acidic and serine residues, while EAF2 is androgen-responsive and acts as a potent apoptosis inducer.
