Target Information
The DYNLRB1 gene belongs to the roadblock dynein light chain family. The encoded cytoplasmic protein binds intermediate chain proteins, interacts with transforming growth factor-beta, and regulates actin-modulating proteins. Upregulation of this gene has been linked to hepatocellular carcinoma, suggesting involvement in tumor progression. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing, and pseudogenes are present on chromosomes 12 and 18.
