Target Information
CYP3A4 유전자는 cytochrome P450 초계열의 효소를 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 약물 대사 및 콜레스테롤, 스테로이드, 기타 지질 합성에 관여하는 monooxygenase입니다. 세포 내 소포체에 위치하며, 글루코코르티코이드 및 일부 약리학적 물질에 의해 발현이 유도됩니다. 현재 사용 중인 약물의 약 절반(예: 아세트아미노펜, 코데인, 사이클로스포린 A, 디아제팜, 에리트로마이신 등)의 대사에 관여하며, 일부 스테로이드 및 발암물질도 대사합니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 7q21.1의 cytochrome P450 유전자 클러스터의 일부입니다. 과거 CYP3A3로 알려진 또 다른 유전자는 현재 CYP3A4의 전사 변이체로 간주됩니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 확인되어 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
