Product Specific Information

Rehydrate with 0.55 mL of deionized water and let stand 30 minutes at room temperature to dissolve. (Product has been overfilled to ensure complete recovery.)
Centrifuge to remove any particulates. Prepare fresh working dilution daily.
Store lyophilized material at 2–8°C.
For long-term storage after reconstitution, dilute with 50% glycerol and store at -20°C as a liquid.
Based on immunoelectrophoresis, no reactivity is observed to non-immunoglobulin rat serum proteins, or serum proteins and IgG from human or rabbit.

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified and exhibit high specificity for rat immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins.
Secondary antibodies provide increased versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, these antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to produce highly specific reagents.
