CCDC67 (deuterosome assembly protein 1)은 다섯 개 이상의 섬모를 가진 세포에서 새로운 중심소체(centriole)를 형성하는 데 중요한 deuterosome의 주요 구조적 구성 요소입니다. 이 단백질은 CEP152와 상호작용하며 PLK4를 모집하여 중심소체 생성을 활성화합니다. 다중섬모세포의 분화 과정에서 deuterosome을 통한 중심소체 증식에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
