This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select the best candidates.

Target Information
Podoplanin (PDPN, T1A, gp38, Aggrus) is a mucin-type glycoprotein (40–43 kDa) expressed in various tumors and normal cells, especially lymphatic epithelial and follicular dendritic cells.
It localizes in stromal cells of peripheral lymphoid tissue and thymic epithelial cells and acts as a regulator of lymphatic endothelium, maintaining podocyte shape.
Podoplanin functions as a ligand for CLEC-2 and correlates with tumor invasiveness and metastatic potential. It plays roles in cell migration, metastasis formation, and tumor invasion.
Expression is induced via Src activation of Cas, with recent evidence suggesting presence on Th17 cells and a subset of CD4+ cells in human PBMCs.
Dysfunction of podoplanin is linked to diseases such as lymphangioma and subglottis neoplasm, and it is proposed as a marker for lung injury.
