The antibody detects endogenous levels of total WNT6 protein.
Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins. These proteins are involved in oncogenesis and various developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
This gene is a member of the WNT gene family and is overexpressed in cervical cancer cell lines. It is strongly coexpressed with WNT10A in colorectal cancer cell lines, suggesting a key role in carcinogenesis.
Both genes are clustered in the chromosome 2q35 region. The protein encoded by this gene shares 97% amino acid identity with the mouse Wnt6 protein.
