Target Information

GAMT는 guanidoacetate를 creatine으로 전환시키는 methyltransferase로, S-adenosylmethionine을 메틸 공여체로 사용합니다. 이 유전자의 결함은 신경학적 증후군과 근긴장저하증을 유발할 수 있으며, 이는 creatine 결핍과 guanidinoacetate 축적 때문으로 보고됩니다. 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 서로 다른 isoform을 인코딩합니다.
