Target Information
The AMOTL1 protein is a peripheral membrane protein associated with tight junctions (TJs). TJs form apical junctional structures that regulate paracellular permeability and maintain cell polarity. AMOTL1 is related to angiomotin, an angiostatin-binding protein involved in endothelial cell migration and capillary formation. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
