Target Information
Axin-related protein Axin2는 Wnt 신호전달 경로에서 β-catenin 안정성 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. Mouse conductin과 같은 rodent homolog는 APC, β-catenin, glycogen synthase kinase 3-β와 복합체를 형성하여 β-catenin 분해를 유도합니다. β-catenin 조절 이상은 다양한 암의 발생과 관련이 있으며, AXIN2 유전자는 17q23–q24 영역에 위치하여 유방암, 신경모세포종 등에서 상동성 소실이 빈번히 보고됩니다. 또한 mismatch repair 결함을 가진 대장암과 관련된 돌연변이가 보고되었습니다.
