Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, store aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Nerve growth factor (NGF) influences the survival and differentiation of various neuronal and non-neuronal cells through specific high- and low-affinity receptors.
Only the high-affinity receptor mediates signal transduction. Cross-linking studies with ¹²⁵I-NGF show that the high-affinity receptor of rat PC12 cells forms an Mr 158,000 complex with NGF, while the low-affinity receptor forms an Mr 100,000 complex.
Human and rat NGF receptor genes share over 90% homology. NGF stimulates growth and differentiation of sympathetic and sensory neurons and is implicated in hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type 5 (HSAN5) and allergic rhinitis.
