Target Information
The XRCC6BP1 protein is amplified in glioblastomas and interacts with the DNA-binding subunit of DNA-dependent protein kinase, which is involved in double-strand break (DSB) repair. Higher expression of XRCC6BP1 increases DSB repair efficiency. It is also suggested to be a metalloprotease important in mitochondrial ATPase biosynthesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
