Target Information
The PPP2R5E gene encodes a regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases involved in negative control of cell growth and division. PP2A forms a heteromeric core enzyme with catalytic and constant regulatory subunits, which associate with various regulatory subunits. The B regulatory subunit modulates substrate selectivity and catalytic activity. PPP2R5E encodes the epsilon isoform of the B56 subfamily.
