Target Information
MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2)는 두 가지 고분자량 형태(MAP2a, MAP2b)와 저분자량 형태를 가지며, 발달 과정에서 발현이 조절됩니다. 단일 유전자의 대체 스플라이싱에 의해 다양한 형태가 생성되며, 미세소관 조립에 관여하여 신경발생에 필수적인 역할을 합니다. Rat 및 Mouse의 유사 유전자는 신경세포의 수상돌기에서 풍부하게 발현되어, 신경세포 발달 중 수상돌기 형태를 결정하고 안정화하는 데 기여합니다. MAP2는 정상 및 악성 뇌조직, 알츠하이머병(AD) 등 퇴행성 질환 연구에 유용합니다.
