Target Information
Elastases는 elastin을 포함한 다양한 단백질을 가수분해하는 serine protease 아형(subfamily)입니다. 인간은 elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B의 6가지 elastase 유전자를 가지고 있으며, 이들은 구조적으로 유사한 단백질을 암호화합니다. 대부분의 인간 elastase와 마찬가지로 elastase 2A는 췌장에서 zymogen 형태로 분비됩니다. 다른 종에서는 elastase 2A가 leucine, methionine, phenylalanine 잔기 뒤를 선호적으로 절단하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
