- Recommended positive controls: Human gastrointestinal tumor, prostate, ovary carcinoma
- This antibody stains colon carcinomas and ovarian mucinous carcinomas, showing apical cytoplasmic, apical membrane, and luminal staining patterns.
- It is negative with the majority of adult tissue sections.
Target Information
Sialosyl Tn antigen (CD175s) is expressed in the majority of colon, gastric, breast, and lung carcinomas.
It shows limited or absent expression in normal colon, pancreas, stomach, ovary, and prostate tissues.
This antigen is detected in several adenocarcinomas and serves as a useful marker for poorly differentiated colon adenocarcinoma.
