Carboxypeptidase A4는 carboxypeptidase A/B subfamily에 속하는 zinc 함유 exopeptidase로, carboxy-terminal 아미노산의 절단을 촉매합니다. 이 단백질은 zymogen 형태로 합성되어 proteolytic cleavage에 의해 활성화되며, histone hyperacetylation 경로에 관여할 수 있습니다. 또한, prostate cancer의 공격성과 관련된 후보 단백질로 제시됩니다.
