MAPKAPK5 (PRAK)는 세포 스트레스 및 염증성 사이토카인에 반응하여 활성화되는 serine/threonine kinase 계열 단백질입니다.
이 효소의 활성은 p38 alpha 및 p38 beta에 의해 조절되며, HSP27을 생리학적 인산화 부위에서 인산화합니다.
두 가지 splice variant가 보고되어 있으며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
