Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytosolic protein containing a phosphotyrosine binding (PTD) domain.
This domain interacts with the cytoplasmic tail of the LDL receptor.
Mutations in this gene lead to LDL receptor malfunction and cause autosomal recessive hypercholesterolaemia.
