This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
The DSC2 gene encodes a member of the desmocollin protein subfamily. Desmocollins, along with desmogleins, are cadherin-like transmembrane glycoproteins that form major components of desmosomes—cell-cell junctions that resist shearing forces and are abundant in mechanically stressed tissues.
This gene is located on chromosome 18 within a cluster of desmocollin family members. Mutations are associated with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia-11, and reduced expression has been reported in several cancers. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
