Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family, characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif.
F-box proteins are part of the SCF (SKP1–Cullin–F-box) ubiquitin ligase complex, which mediates phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
They are classified into three groups:

• Fbws: Contain WD-40 domains
• Fbls: Contain leucine-rich repeats
• Fbxs: Contain other protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs

The FBXL4 protein belongs to the Fbls class and contains an F-box and at least nine tandem leucine-rich repeats.
