Glutathione S-transferase is commonly used in the GST gene fusion system, enabling purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions.
The GST gene fusion system has been integrated into numerous expression vectors.
